Policies Regarding Fees and Insurance Coverage

The hourly rate for Dr. Rickey Miller is the same for assessment and treatment sessions. For specific information about current hourly rates, please contact our office at 905-882-4500.

OHIP does not cover psychological services. You can pay at the time of your session by cash, cheque, VISA or debit. Psychological assessment and treatment sessions are tax-deductible as health expenses.

If you do not show up for your appointment and you do not provide at least 24 hours notice, you must pay the session fee unless there are extenuating circumstances such as illness or inclement weather.

You may have insurance through your employer or a family member’s employer, or you may have purchased your own insurance. If so, after you pay for your session, we will give you a receipt so that you can submit it to your insurer for reimbursement.

If you have been injured in a motor vehicle accident, ask us to submit an assessment and treatment plan to your insurer. The insurer may agree to cover the cost.

If you have been injured in a workplace accident, you may qualify for coverage by the Workplace Safety and Insurance Board (WSIB).

If you are unable to afford psychological services, we would be happy to suggest other resources for counseling.

If you request copies of documents in your file, some fees may apply.
