Our approach combines the art and science of psychotherapy to meet your unique needs. The working relationship we seek to establish is sensitive, caring, compassionate, and responsive. We help you cope better with whatever is causing you stress or pain.

Our approach is individually tailored and includes psychodynamic, cognitive-behavioural, relaxation, meditation, and hypnotherapy techniques. We select techniques that are best suited to meet your goals and we respond to your feedback every step of the way. We treat patients of all ages and provide treatment to individuals, couples, and families.

The assessment consists of an interview with you and sometimes also psychological tests. The goal of the assessment is to identify the approaches that will be most effective for you.

We have extensive experience completing psycholegal assessments, assessments for motor vehicle accident claims, and assessments for the Workplace Safety and Insurance Board (WSIB) and other insurance companies, Canada Pension Plan Disability (CPP), the Ontario Disability Support Program (ODSP), and for short-term and long-term disability. When required, we provide reports within a reasonable time.

We strictly adhere to procedures that ensure your confidentiality as mandated by the Regulated Health Professions Act. When appropriate, and with your consent, we work closely with physicians (including psychiatrists), lawyers, insurance adjusters, rehabilitation counselors, occupational therapists, social workers, chiropractors, physiotherapists, teachers, and other professionals.

We usually work with patients from 1 to 20 sessions, but we can also provide long-term treatment when necessary. Some patients see us weekly; others attend less frequently. If you are unable to attend sessions in person, telephone and Skype sessions are available.

We treat people from different cultures and backgrounds. If you are able to converse in and understand basic English, we can probably help you.
